Shipmates and wives are starting to throw clothes into suitcases, trying to fit everything into their 17 compartment with wheels black nylon suitcase (do they still call them suitcases)? The Mrs. is making useful comments about not forgetting the wool socks, the razor, his pills, two sweaters for the cold, and is trying to pull out the old, smelly, foul weather jacket he has stuffed into the bag to show off to his shipmates. Meanwhile she is digging out six suitcases for the items that she can't live without!

The dog is jumping and drooling with doggie excitement, not knowing yet that he is not going! The cat is watching, big eyed, hiding his tail in the safe area under the cabinet, wondering at such a sight!

Have we got our tickets? have we got our room? So much to plan, so many things loom!!!
