Letters From The Editor

It's getting closer, shipmates. THE REUNION!

Hard to believe that's it's been so long since the last one. Sure looking forward to Kansas City.

Speaking of which, I have to decide whether or not to do a calendar and reunion patches. It's a whole lot of work on my part, which I don't mind, as long as you guys want them.

So with that in mind....PLEASE email me and let me know your thoughts. I need to get about 50 positive replies, so please, if you've never emailed me before, email me now.

Also, if you have any favorite photos that you would like me to put on the calendar, let me know and I will do my best to include it.

Thanks mates, looking forward to hearing from you. :)

Thanks to JK Davis, Mike Luikart, and Jerry Cartwright for their Booster Club donations.

By the way, my nephew Steve Perkins was on the following subs.....just wondering if anybody here knew him.

He was on the USS Patrick Henery (SSBN 599) Gold crew in late 1973 and 1974. Then the USS Haddock (SSN 621) in 1975 and a short time on the USS Guitarro (SSN 665)
just before He got out.

Reunion Information

Reunion Dates: Friday August 26, 2005 to morning of Tuesday August 30, 2005. We have chosen the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kansas City. The same hotel the USSVI will hold their National Convention from August 30 through September 4.

Our dinner is planned for Monday Evening August 29, 2005 at 1900. We will have a hospitality room each day of the reunion.

Anyone who plans to attend the reunion please email Willy at mmcmssret@aol.com or call him at (918) 357-1055. This would help us tremendously in planning the reunion.

Also: if anyone changes their address, email address, phone number, etc. please contact Pecos, Captain O`Connell or myself (Gene Williams) with the new information.

Also: if anyone knows the location of a crewmember not on the website, contact one of us so we can locate them and obtain pertinent information.

We plan to send everyone a letter in the very near future with all the information we have to date. We will also ask for your input and please let us know if you plan to attend the reunion.

Green Board,

Willy
