Here is my info after I mustered out.
After going home to Chicopee,
Massachusetts, I spent a year in the
unemployment line, then I was given a job on
the sanitation department. While working
there I took the test for the fire
department, four years later I received a
call for an interview and I was hired by the
fire department.
While I was waiting for the fire
department job I married my first wife
Candy. In nineteen seventy six we had a set
of twins, a boy Aaron and a girl Rebecca,
they were two months premature and very
small. At the age of two weeks my daughter
had a brain aneurysm and was handicapped
for the rest of her life, she passed away in
nineteen eighty seven at the age of eleven,
she brought me a lot of joy. Her brother
Aaron is now thirty one and doing great. In
nineteen seventy nine we had another son,
Paul he is twenty nine and doing well also.
My wife divorced me in nineteen eighty five.
I married my second wife in nineteen
eighty eight, her name is Linda. In nineteen
ninety one we had a girl we named Nicole,
she is sixteen now a junior in high school,
and the boys are starting to hang around,
lucky me. Linda and I will celebrate our
twentieth anniversary in April of next year.
I retired from the fire department in
two thousand and three on my fifty fifth
birthday, after almost thirty years of
service to my home town. Now I'm a house
husband, I stay home and do housework, run
errands and play a little golf in the
summer.
I am really looking forward to seeing
some of my shipmates in Seattle in two
thousand nine, until then be happy, stay
safe.
Love to you all,
