Life Afer Spinax: Doug
Bryant After the war I was a plankowner on the Spinax and stayed until July 26, 1947 when I was transferred to deep sea diving school at the gun factory in Washington, DC. After 3 years on a torpedo and mine testing range as a diver, I served on ships and stations as listed:
USS Sea Owl (SS-405)
USS Sea Dog (SS-401) as
and instructor for Naval Reserves 1964-1967 I retired in 1967 as a Senior Chief Engineman with 24 years of service. |
