Life Afer Spinax: Frank Fletcher

After leaving Spinax in '64, I transferred to USS Tirante SS-420 in Key West,Fl. I rode her for the next 38 mos. In Jan '68 I went to shore duty in San Diego@ 32nd street. On Oct '68 I was transferred to Moffet Field in Mtn. View,Ca. I ran into Sam Powell there, he was EOD and I was on,unbelievably,base police. After discharge in Oct '69 I went back to San Diego long enough to attend welding school. In '70 I moved to Pascagoula,Ms. and worked in the shipyard for six months. Nov.'70 I moved to the St Louis area,married a girl I had met in Miami Beach back in '65,and went to work for Anheuser Busch's railroad branch. I worked there from '70 til '95 when they closed down my shop. I was QA director ffrom '86 until the last call. I now work an a QA consultant, in the same field. I have been married to the same gal for 32 yrs, now and we have two grown sons,Derek and Frank.
