Life Afer Spinax: Bob Stratton

Was discharged Oct. 53' made the mistake of "going home" to my native Pa. in Dec. which did not set to well with my lovely bride Carol from N. Calif. We returned to Santa Rosa in Mar. 54', took the Post Office exam and proceeded to deliver mail here for 32 years and loved every minute of it! Been retired since Dec. 85' and commenced the "honey-do" list since then. We have 3 great boys and 3 great grandsons. ( It seems no one could figure out where girls came from!)

Attended the re-union in Reno last Sept. and had a fantastic time. Talk about fond memories, it would take a hundred pages to even come close to write them all down!

Still married to the same lovely lady (48 years) and one of the famous Cleland brothers (Dale) was our best man at our wedding in Healdsburg, Ca. 4 July '52 along with about one third of the Spinax crew, most of which by the way were in a pretty good mood by the time they arrived. Somehow they managed to find all the bars in town and they showed it! I'd like to add that we were a "family" perhaps 80 of the finest men I've ever associated with. It seems like it was just a few years ago, NOT 50! Many thanks to Peco's for what I consider to be the finest web page on the Internet and every day it gets better! Also many kudo's to Nellie Nelson for what had to be the best re-union ever! Everyone stay healthy and keep a zero bubble!

By the way my lovely lady enjoyed the re-union in Reno as much as all of the rest of us.
