Nellie..Mess Cooking	The crew's mess was the gathering place for the crew. In addition to the three meals a day served here, there was also soup and sandwiches for the off hour watches. Food was never short on a sub. Backgammon and checker boards were built into the table tops to help relieve boredom, and occasionally it was the location of a boisterous poker game. The crew's mess was also the "Movie theater". A projector was set up after evening meal, and late release movies (sometimes) were shown on a screen about the size of a tv. The Sonar room ('60's) was directly below the crew's mess. If you wanted to come up out of the room, you had to press a buzzer and wait for someone to yell that it was clear to come up.		Ante Up!
