Jerry Galnosa SK2(SS) went on final patrol about mid 1990's

He was one of the first to change his rate to storekeeper and was kept on board the SPINAX for SK rate now a billet in the sub in early 1961. I crossed over from SD3 to SK3 in Hunters Point during overhaul also in 1961. Jerry was detailed with the SOAP team and I took care of the daily/supply need and was awardedthe Co's commendaton letter due to expediting the delivery of the starboard side engine manifold barely in time prior to end of overhaul. My Love was the acting SO at the time as was newly married.

CO was skipper Robinson. Jerry left the ship after the overhaul and prior to the WestPac deployment. After retirement he worked for the postal service and had heart failure in mid-1990 (not sure) Wife, 2 sons and a daughter all live in San Diego.
